Adria Thompson, MA, CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist, dementia educator, and lecturer in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Eastern Kentucky University. With over a decade of experience working in long-term care settings including assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and home health. She specializes in creative, applicable, person-centered approaches to support individuals with dementia. As the founder of Be Light Care Consulting and the creator of one of the world’s largest dementia-focused social media platform, Adria provides practical education to care partners and professionals across the country, helping bridge the gap between research and everyday caregiving.
