Dementia Education

MALA is pleased to offer educational programs related to providing support and services for persons living with dementia.  This benefit is made available for members through the leadership of Brenda Roberts, MALA’s Chief Executive Officer and Erin Wallace, MALA’s Director of Quality Assurance and Education.  

Brenda has a Certificate in Advanced Clinical Dementia Practice from the University of Michigan, a master’s degree from Central Michigan University in Education Administration and Community Leadership, and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Alma College.  She holds certifications as a Dementia Trainer, Coach, Consultant, and Engagement Leader.

Erin has a bachelor of science degree in Interdisciplinary Health Services and Gerontology from Western Michigan University. She is a certified Dementia Practioner and holds a certificate in Advanced Clinical Dementia Practice.
