HFA Prevention and Containment of Communicable Diseases

This course is designed to help home-for-aged employees meet minimum standards related to the prevention and containment of communicable diseases. The course includes the identification of situations where a risk of exposure to blood-borne pathogens exists, methods of sanitization, universal precautions, correct hand-washing procedures, prevention of needle sticks, handling laundry, safe kitchen practices, and more.
